WoW Classic is this month
WoW Classic launches later this month but there are a few things leading into the August 27th release.
- Character Name Reservation
- Monday, August 12 at 3:00 p.m.
- 3 character reservation cap per account
- Only one faction per realm on PvP realms
- Details about realm names and realm types to be announced
- Character creation limits are not shared between Classic and Retail
- Stress Test
- Thursday, August 8 at 11:00 a.m. PDT and is scheduled to end on Friday, August 9.
- Launch phase test between Thursday, August 8 at 11:00 a.m. PDT and 1:00 p.m. PDT.
- Finalized Minimum spec requirements are extremely low

Anniversary Store Mounts
This reset the Alabaster Faction Mounts became available for purchase on the Blizzard Store.
- Alabaster Stormtalon (for Alliance characters), and Alabaster Thunderwing (for Horde characters)
- One purchase buys both mounts to be used by the corresponding faction
- If you purchased the 15th Anniversary Edition you can have your account credited for the cost of the mounts later
- Models use the same skeleton and animations as previous versions with new model, textures and a subtle VFX.
