Dungeons & Diapers Archives
While Jocelyn is away, Crofton from Dungeons & Diapers joins Ryan on the show to unpack Metroid Dread. We keep the conversation relatively spoiler free, so don’t worry if you’re avoiding story spoilers outside of the intro. Moving over to the news, Nintendo unveiled the final free update for Animal Crossing New Horizons, alongside details for a DLC and the final pricing for Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack. We also got our first look at the Uncharted movie with a new trailer!
Ryan and Crofton are back in two instalments – a before and after Ryan’s kids all got sick at the same time. Come meet innocent Ryan, not knowing what fate was to befall him as he talks anime and Tales of Arise. Crofton updates on all his stuff including Sea of Thieves, Psychonauts 2, Smash Bros. and Murders in the Building. A gap follows whereas life hits Ryan hard before he returns, hardened and weary, to update a tough week in the Murphy household. All this and Crofton goes on a road trip! Come listen!
Get (close to) live reaction from Crofton and Ryan to the Mario movie casting news, starring a dude named Chris. The good vibes continue with some Ted Lasso talk before the boys go into the minds of madness with Psychonauts 2. Then it is back to school season – how are you managing? Are you a Crofton (yay all good) or a Ryan (sad sigh, blows nose)? All of this and Goose Game is back. Come listen!
The boys are back to their regular scheduled podcasting ways this week. It is a packed dungeon with comments on the new Spider-Man trailer, Marvel’s What If…, Dragon Quest XI, and more. Plus, changing diapers starts with fun birthday parties and the work they take and ends with back to school. Come listen and help find Ryan a new nickname! Oh, and also suggest things Crofton should do in exchange for Extra Life donations!
Crofton was on vacation this week, so Ryan welcomed Adam Huber, who draws the Bug Martini web comic, to discuss the Dungeons & Dragons Saturday Morning Cartoon from the 80’s (which is all available on YouTube)! Ryan and Adam also discuss their love of Disney+ and showing their kids the classics, while also balancing some Fornite skill building during the pandemic. Plus the all important question of when can you introduce your kids to your favourite franchises like Jurassic Park and Star Wars. Could you create a kid friendly version of Jurassic Park? We try to find out! Closing out the show we talk of Summer plans, and what to squeeze in as some last minute fun in the remaining few weeks of the season. All this, and more, on a Crofton-less Dungeons and Diapers!
Remember those Kids TV Show Reviews we promised to do? Well we have another one! Long delayed, but we did it! Ryan watched Mia and Me with the kids, thanks to an Extra Life donation from the lovely Whirlwind. Listen as Ryan transports Crofton to the wonderful world of Centopia!
The multiverse collides as Ryan and Crofton get together for their first ever Dungeons and Diapers special presentation: a discussion of Marvel’s first three Disney Plus shows: Wandavision, Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and Loki. Spoilers ensue as the boys share thoughts on the first round of Marvel small screen content. What’s good? What’s bad? What’s in between? We rank and discuss. No kids this time but the diapers will return. Come listen!
Ryan and Crofton are back to lament their lack of a soft drink sponsor. Fear not, however, they bring the goods with deep dungeon discussions on everything from Ryan’s love of a new podcast on conning people (don’t know what that says about him) to Crofton’s time on the Sea of Thieves. Other bits and bobs include Netflix’s Lupin, Captain Marvel, a Quiet Place 2, and a visit to day camp. Come listen!
Crofton and Ryan pooled their collective energy from having a week off to deliver a super-sized episode where they cover everything from Loki to not losing your mind with your kids. Ryan goes mainstream with Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart while Crofton goes art house with Backbone (it’s a PC game – Google it!). All of this and a moment to reflect. Come listen!
