Dungeons & Diapers Archives
Ryan and Crofton are back to explore the nuances of parenting during a pandemic and making sure their kids have a normal life while keeping them safe. It is very important to them… almost as important as discussing Marvel’s latest: Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Crofton concludes his Breath of the Wild run with hot takes on everything from Yakuza to For the King to Stardew Valley. Ryan tackles his backlog with a return to Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Will he finish it this time? Nobody knows. Come listen!
After a short hiatus, the boys are back! Ryan brings the goods with a fun story about calling 9-1-1 (more like 9-1-fun amirite?) before Crofton tries to one-up him with a story of his own. In the Dungeons, Ryan watches a documentary (nerd alert) about the fall of Blockbuster video while Crofton watches this year’s Showcase of the Immortals ie WRESTLEMAAAAAAANIA (smark alert). While Crofton explains wrestling jargon to Ryan, the latter is ready to change Diapers including some talk about home schooling and birthday parties. Regular updates on Breath of the Wild and Ryan’s non-pool are also included. Come listen!
Ryan welcomes Crofton from Dungeons & Diapers to chat about his “games to play when there are no games coming out” collection. Featuring the triumphant return of Uncharted 4, No Man’s Sky, and Breath of the Wild. On the other hand, Ryan tests out his direction instructing skills by playing We Were Here Together. Plus, just one more loop in Loop Hero! Moving into the news, lots of Game Pass going around, but the most interesting has to be the confirmation that Outriders will be available at launch with the service on April 1st. Finally, Dark Alliance makes it’s return this summer!
This week Crofton hosts Ryan in a discussion of Falcon and the Winter Soldier’s first episode and the TV version of the MCU. Ryan finds out that TV shows are just podcasts with visuals thanks to the new show “Calls”. Crofton is like a kid in a candy store on Xbox Game Pass while Ryan is up Schitt’s Creek without a paddle. All of this and Gwen learns the value of patience and Crofton finally gets his name in the title of an episode! Come listen!
On this episode, with Isabelle growing by leaps and bounds, Ryan needed a new baby and so he got one: the PlayStation 5! Come hear the purr in his voice as he talks about all the latest games and features – including Astro’s Playroom with the kids! Jealous and cynical Crofton reignites his PlayStation 4 romance with Uncharted 4 but both gentlemen find common ground on the greatness of WandaVision (spoiler free)! All of this, an epic snowfort, the continued saga of Ryan’s filled-in pool, and Crofton gets the plot of the movie Parent Trap explained to him in detail (it is messed up). Come listen!
Has it already been two weeks? Or is time just an arbitrary construct that flows together in a messy way and sometimes outputs entertaining podcasts? The boys are back to discuss this and many important topics including the feel-good comedy Ted Lasso which has Ryan troubleshooting Crofton’s streaming problems as if he was a member of the Murphy family. Speaking of which, Ryan also runs us through his tech support family party based on Jackbox games. Meanwhile, Crofton continues his journey (rant) into the worlds of Oculus Quest and Breath of the Wild. All that and a chat about kid milestones – hence the name of the episode. Come listen!
Crofton and Ryan are back and while they feel the deep pan, they are still smiling because of all the fun content out there. From Crofton’s shiny new Oculus Quest 2 to Ryan’s uncomfortable adoration of actor Alan Tudyk, there is a lot of positive energy out there if you know where to look. From video games like the Avengers and Breath of the Wild to shows like the new alien doctor show Resident Alien, the boys navigate the dungeons before taking on the mailbag and the diapers section… specifically about diapers, and when your kids should stop wearing them. All this and a real Internet celebrity is revealed – come listen!
Crofton and Ryan are back to take their place in the podcasting Senate this week. Ryan provides his RyanVision of the new Marvel show WandaVision. Speaking of Marvel, Crofton is waist deep in Marvel’s Avengers on the PlayStation and is levelling up his Hulk skeleton at a record pace. The boys then get into the literal diapers with talk of potty training. When do you take the overnight diaper away from a potty training tot? Ryan recaps a COVID birthday and Crofton introduces his daughter to the seductive allure of the Pokémon – both mobile and TV versions. All of this and VR is back on the agenda! Come listen!
Achievement Unlocked! 50 episodes for Dungeons and Diapers and the boys celebrate by inviting loyal listener and Star Wars scholar Jordan Blythe to come on board and break down all the latest Star Wars announcements, from books to video games, TV shows, movies and beyond. The boys then get into full spoiler territory for Season 2 of The Mandalorian. Warning: There is a high level of gushing ahead (and spoilers). All of this, and thoughts on Cyberpunk 2077 and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla as well! In roman numerals, 50 is an L but this episode is clearly a W. Come listen!
