D&D 42 – B is for Boy, but K is for Kombat

D&D 42 – B is for Boy, but K is for Kombat

Ryan and Crofton return to report back on their slow re-introduction to school during these COVID-19 times. Tune in next episode when they have a few weeks under their belt to see how things went! Ryan introduces this years promo for Extra Life, and should be a lot of fun content for the show and torture for Ryan as he is forced to digest even more Children’s programming. In the Dungeons, Crofton has been enjoying Umbrella Academy Season 2 and Rita on Netflix, while Ryan gets his Avengers on in with the new PlayStation 4 game. In a bridge between the two segments, Ryan is forced to admit that Crofton is mostly right, as the new God of War book “B is for Boy” is more satirical than actual kids book (about 90% of it is FINE for kids, just need to do a little self sensor and skip a page or two). In the Diapers, Crofton has been thoroughly enjoying Child of Light as the follow up to Paper Mario The Origami King with Gwen. Ryan, not wanting the Paper Mario fun to end, dusts off the Wii U and picks up Paper Mario Color Splash. We close the show with Listener Feedback and Children’s Book suggestions!

D&D 41 – What the Future Has in Store

D&D 41 – What the Future Has in Store

This week Ryan and Crofton get significantly off track with their memories of Future Shop – a Canadian technology staple. The boys then get to business as Ryan explores samurai-era Japan in Ghost of Tsusima and Crofton descends into the depths of Hallownest in Hollow Knight. Both of them then share trauma with regards to a fateful event in Paper Mario that left a mark on their children. All of this and some good podcast and TV recommendations! Come listen!

A Very DAD TGI – Ghost of an Xbox Spider-Man

A Very DAD TGI – Ghost of an Xbox Spider-Man

While Crofton and I did not get a chance to record a normal Dungeons and Diapers this week, we did record The Gamers’ Inn together. We covered a lot of the geeky stuff we would normally chat about in our Dungeons section, so we thought we would share that episode on this feed as well. If you already subscribe to The Gamers’ Inn, you already have this episode so you can go ahead and skip this one (If you’re not subscribed, you totally should). Either way, enjoy and be back to our normal routine soon!

D&D 40 – Community of Uploads

D&D 40 – Community of Uploads

Ryan and Crofton’s worlds begin returning to some semblance of normal, or at least COVID-normal, as they check in on everything from if they will buy new video game consoles this year, the latest and greatest in tv, and if Ryan should ever be allowed near power tools. This week, Crofton debriefs on the melancholic final season of Community while Ryan plugs two Amazon features: Upload and Tales from the Loop. Crofton completes his journey through Midgar and offers some final thoughts on FF7 Remake before both of the boys discuss playing Paper Mario with their respective little ones. All of that and random Canadian towns outside the MTV! Come listen!

D&D 39 – The JurassiCast

D&D 39 – The JurassiCast

Ryan and Crofton try to beat the heat by talking pools (both filled-in and inflatable varieties) and watching tv shows in sweet air conditioning (including Hanna – Season 2, Space Force – Season 1, Community – Season All of It). Crofton tries to solve the Unsolved Mystery about why Ryan buried his pool before singing the praises of Divinity 2. Speaking of Ryan, he delivers his spoiler-free thoughts on the Last of Us 2. All of that and a Jurassic Park acapella group, trying to harmonize together (plus an after show conversation). Come listen!

D&D 38 – A Tale of Two Pools

This week’s episode of Dungeons and Diapers is full of all sorts of recommendations to keep your geeky mind distracted as the world spirals into the abyss including, but not limited to: comedy specials (Seinfeld!), podcasts (Marvels!), one-man Netflix concert spectaculars (Springsteen!), video games (The Last of Us Part Deux), and more! All of that and the competing continuing tales of Crofton’s Divinity adventures and Ryan’s backyard landscaping adventures.

D&D 37 – Dinner Party

D&D 37 – Dinner Party

The sun rises slowly on another day in the wasteland and rugged podcasters Ryan and Crofton trudge forward, sharing their greatest dungeon and diaper-related content. This week Crofton soliloquies about Divinity Original Sin 2 and how it is bringing his DnD band back together, while Ryan feels the tender hooks of Assassin’s Creed sink back in. Crofton goes to dinner at his daughter’s Animal Crossing house to help console her on the loss of her neighbour (a blue pig named Hugh) while Ryan commits to filling in his death-trap pool and replacing it with safe and serene sod. Come listen!
