Battle for Dazar’alor Encounter Testing

Ahead of the weekend 4 more encounters for the upcoming raid were tested.

• Thursday, October 26th
  • King Rastakhan
  • High Tinker Mekkatorque
• Friday, October 27th
  • Champion of the Light: Frida Ironbellows (Horde) / Ra’Wani (Alliance)
  • Stormwall Blockade
• When in flashback encounters you are transformed into a race of the opposite faction; however, during testing this sometimes was more than just a cosmetic effect. It changed your racial abilities!

Rewards Hotfixed

Blizzard recently implemented a hotfix to increase some rewards from Emissary Quests to be more compelling. Earlier in the week conquest rewards were hotfixed for some PvP activities.

• Gold reward increased to 2000 from 700
• Artifact Power reward increased from 1000 from 600 (to make the turn in 1400 total)
• First 2v2 win of the day rewards 35 Conquest; further victories give 25 (up from 10)
• First Rated Battlegrounds win of the day rewards 150 Conquest (up from 100); further victories give 100 (up from 65)
• Rewards for 3v3 and unrated Battlegrounds remain the same

8.1 Currency Vendors

Blizzard has implemented a number of different vendors on the 8.1 PTR.

• Azerite Gear from dungeons can now be purchased from Thaumaturge Vashreen (formerly item reforger, and nethershard vendor)
  • Azerite Gear no longer drops from weekly cache and will instead give Azerite Impurity Currency based on the highest key completed the previous week
  • Any Azerite Gear that drops after the release of 8.1 can be scrapped or disenchanted to get Azerite Impurity (calculated on the base ilvl of the gear)
  • Vendor sells loot chest that reward a random Azerite piece for a specific gear slot
    • Item Level 355 Cache – 125 Azerite Impurity
    • Item Level 370 Cache – 400 Azerite Impurity
    • Item Level 385 Cache – 1250 Azerite Impurity
    • Specific Item Level 385 Piece – 3250 Azerite Impurity
• Island Expeditions now have a place to funnel doubloons.
• Warfront Vendors with a new currency 7th Legion Commendations/Honorbound Commendations
