D&D 36 – Final Fatherhood 7 Remake
This week the boys are back for a COVID-19 check-in. Ryan decided that a global pandemic wasn’t enough and added a newborn to the equation. Seeking the sweet escape of entertainment, Ryan and Crofton go deep into Final Fantasy 7 Remake (spoiler: it wasn’t the “final” fantasy) and Tiger King, where Ryan’s better angels struggle against the siren’s call of the sensationalist Netflix documentary. D&D 35 – A Crossing Full of Murphys
A new Murphy has arrived as Ryan’s daughter Isabelle joins the fray and the man himself provides the details of how it all went down. A birth is stressful at the best of times but throw in a global pandemic and you have a story. Speaking of which, Crofton goes on a full tilt rant about the merits of Animal Crossing after the boys compare notes on pandemic living with kids but before they compare notes on Half-Life Alyx. All of that and a full mailbag too. It is a long one but a good one – come listen!
D&D 34 – A Quarantine With Kids Survival Guide
It is a brave new world and Crofton and Ryan are stepping into it… with kids! Learn how the boys are coping with the pandemic that is changing life as we know it. Nothing will ever be the same… especially for Ryan as he in the final countdown for his third child. Any day now! Better get his games in, starting with Ori and the Will of the Wisps. Crofton laments the poor music of Yoshi’s Crafted World before breaking down two of his new favourite shows: Bojack Horseman and the Good Place. All of this and the countdown to Animal Crossing too! D&D 33 – Book Club
This week Ryan and Crofton are joined by Michael Hodgins of the world famous Good, Bad, or Bullshit podcast to discuss some geeky fiction, including The Lies of Locke Lamora and Leviathan Wakes and it’s television adaptation, The Expanse. Ryan hit the movies solo to take in 1917 and explain how World War 1 was bad (very bad). Things take a turn for the serious as Mike shares a story about sleep training a young child with anxiety while Ryan talks about a slight pregnancy scare. All of this, and – for you Canadians – some Ontario school strike thoughts too!
D&D 32 – Which Way the Witcher Wanders
Monster hunters! Western space adventures! Comic book tv adaptations! All of Ryan and Crofton’s entertainment dreams are coming true. This week they swap notes on Netflix’s The Witcher (spoilers start at 11:30 and end around the 30 minute mark). Crofton even tosses a coin to his old mistress the Witcher 3. Ryan gets away from the family and binges some Watchmen but gets back just in time to celebrate Kayden’s big fourth birthday. Crofton takes Gwen skiing and (Just) Dancing!
D&D 31 – Rise of 2020
Happy New Year from Dungeons and Diapers! The boys are a bit at wits end trying to decide what to discuss after a full holiday season filled with games, gifts, skiing and more. In the end, the focus is a spoiler cast of the latest Star Wars film (spoilers end at 1:02:20). Who is Santa and who is the Grinch? Come find out! D&D 30 – New Family DLC
This week on the last Dungeons and Diapers of 2019, Crofton and Ryan look back at the year that was in a way familiar to most parents: through a haze of barely remembered haphazard anecdotes. From the Avengers to Star Wars to the Nintendo Switch, 2019 has been full of notable news for geeks. Speaking of notable news, Ryan drops a whopper this episode as he has just downloaded the latest Murphy Family expansion pack DLC in the form of baby number three. COME LISTEN AND BE MERRY!
D&D 29 – Being Nap-Free Sucks like a Vacuum Cleaner
The penultimate 2019 episode of Dungeons and Diapers has Ryan dealing with the ramifications of his youngest daughter ceasing her napping. Meanwhile, is Crofton’s status as World’s Greatest Husband and Dad under threat from buying his wife a vacuum for her birthday? Also, the boys start their wrap-up of 2019 with a discussion of Luigi’s Mansion. All this and Ryan struggles with the games math associated with his big new purchase. Come listen!

Since approximately a quarter of the year is now the Christmas season, come get your jollies on with Crofton and Ryan as they discuss the latest and greatest in nerdity, including Jedi Fallen Order and Luigi’s Mansion 3. Crofton traumatized his daughter not once, but twice, with content that may not be age-appropriate. Ryan has already hung his Christmas lights – come judge him!
