8.3 News

More buzz about BfA’s finale as systems continue to develop.

• The Infinite Purity of Azeroth has been scrapped
  • HoA bonuses will stop at 80
  • Further HoA levels will continue to increase the artifact’s item level
  • A new item is being introduced that will increase the corruption resistance of the legendary cloak.
  • This item comes from a variety of sources:
    • Fully completing a Horrific Visions w/ at least one mask active
    • Defeating N’Zoth on Normal, Heroic, or Mythic difficulty
    • Or once your cloak is otherwise fully upgraded
• Mythic Dungeons have had a new reward system outlined for Visions of N’Zoth
  • Rewards will now scale up to 15+
  • End of Run awards will scale up to iLvl 465
  • Weekly Chest will scale up to iLvl 475
  • There is a mount and title for obtaining the Keystone Conqueror achievement
• Raid Testing on Friday, November 22nd
  • Prophet Skitra – Mythic Ny’alotha, the Waking City13:00 PST (16:00 EST, 22:00 CET)

• Pet Battles are receiving many changes
  • Weather Effects rebalancing
    • Blizzard and Mudslide have had additional effects added to them to make them as impactful as other weather effects
    • New weather effect: Toxic Fumes increases DoTs for an extra round and causes all pets to be considered poisoned
  • New Outdoor Pet Battles in Uldum and the Vale of Eternal Blossoms will now scale to your team
  • Cumulative percentage damage reduction will now have a cap of 75% effectiveness

Assaults

• Entire Zone is scaled up to level 120.
• The Daily Emissary will change in 8.3 to also track current assaults. 
• Uldum is Assault: Amankhat and Vale of Eternal Blossoms has Assault: Mogu and Assault: Endless Swarm
• Assault: N’Zoth can occur in either zone.
• Assault is concentrated in one section of the zone marked on the map with a purple smoke outline. 
  • The area changes between the N’Zoth Assault and zone specific assaults.
• Within this zone you can work towards the assault quest objective and at 100% you then fight a zone boss.
• An introductory quest line and a set of daily quests are tied into each assault. 
  • Completing the intro quest should also be about enough to complete the first invasion.
  • The dailies reward Coalescing Visions and the usual (AP, resources, gold.)
• Completing a non-N’Zoth Assault gives a random 445 appropriate for your class and spec; a large amount of Coalescing Visions; some gold; and, a large amount of AP.
• Completing a N’Zoth Assault rewards a Cache of the Black Empire which includes a Vessel of Horrific Visions needed for Horrific Visions as instead of the Coalescing Visions.
• Mechagon-style Silver Elites (Rares) will give Coalescing Visions, Black Empire Gear and the usual (AP, resources, gold.) I suspect they will have toys, mounts and uniques items like Mechagon/Nazjatar 
• Black Empire gear is BoA and on use will create an ilvl 400 piece of gear appropriate for that character.
• The Uldum Accord and Rajani are the two new reps to grind associated with the assaults.
• Currently on the PTR getting rep with these new factions provide rank 4 essences, contracts and cosmetic items like mounts.
• You can get boons and extra actions called the Celestial’s Favor while fitting the assault in Pandaria.
• Visions connected to the assaults are introduced later in the 8.3 quest chain
