DaD 154 – Winter Activities
It is cold and snowy and we have to shovel but we do not despair, for – from skating to sledding – there are numerous winter activities to keep us occupied. Ryan and Crofton go through some of their favourites which may or may not include watching the Olympics. Beyond that, the Dungeons includes games about escapism – Shadow Complex and Coral Island – and books about old men – Richard Osman and John Scalzi are back. After weeks of exchanging notes on the world famous Dungeons and Diapers podcast, Ryan and Crofton have “rolled credits”, as the kids say, on the second part of the Final Fantasy VII remake trilogy. It is finally time: Ryan and Crofton’s kids are getting old enough to share in the geeky stuff they do. This week, Ryan continues watching the MCU with Kayden and the first Iron Man movie. Meanwhile, Crofton jumps back into Tom Nook’s debt in Animal Crossing with one daughter while shooting robot dinosaurs in Horizon Zero Dawn with the other. All this and Ryan’s new auditory reading obsession will be revealed. And then the boys continue reflecting on the video games that had the biggest impact on their young minds.
