Ryan picks a fight with Crofton… about fighting! Actually the boys just discuss kid conflicts in a serious and profound way. How many is too many? What do you do to settle them? But that is after Ryan goes on a documentary marathon, from Steve Martin to Jim Henson with serial killers in between. Crofton wants to go through every game he is excited for in the new Xbox showcase. All of this, and the boys are big in Singapore!

DaD 117 – In-laws
In this episode Crofton and Ryan delicately navigate the minefield that is talking about your in-laws. How do you do it? How involved are they with your kids? Meanwhile, Ryan has escaped the Wasteland, with final thoughts on his tour of Fallout 4, while Crofton is playing checks notes – wait that can’t be rjght Persona 5 Royal? DaD 116 – Kids and Ads
As kids get older, it is harder to shelter them from advertisements but maybe not as bad as it was when Crofton and Ryan were kids. Ads are the topic of the week along with all the fallout from that, including Amazon’s Fallout TV series and Bethesda’s Fallout 4 video game. What do the Easter Bunny, Santa, and the Tooth Fairy all have in common? They give kids stuff and they are make believe. Are these fictitious gift givers present in your house? Ryan and Crofton talk about them and how to maybe have a difficult conversation with your older kids. But it is also fun and games as Ryan keeps his reading record alive with Hench and Crofton gets on his pulpit about Final Fantasy XVI.
